The key to this shirt lies in the shoulder slope—or rather, its absence. The yoke and front are cut as a single piece, leaving out the shoulder slope entirely. As a result, the fabric drops toward the shoulder, creating the drape you see here.
A natural shoulder slope is fundamental in garment construction, but stepping outside that rule can generate a silhouette of its own.
