THE KIMONO SLEEVE IS CUT OPEN FROM THE FRONT CENTER

This body section has a seam in the front center, and it is cut open from the edge of that seam. The angle of the sleeve is drawn in a straight line from the shoulder line. It is cut with a bias weave, allowing the body section to create a fitted silhouette even without darts. The amount of bust darts gives a three-dimensional structure to the kimono sleeve.
